The new Asics DynaFlyte is the first mass produced running shoe from the japanese brand to use innovative FlyteFoam™ technology. As a result of hundreds of prototypes including limited edition Asics MetaRun, DynaFlyte features 9.5 ounces in men's 9 US and 8 mm drop. Although it is mandatory to wait for independent testers to check real performance, abundant cushioning promised makes it an interesting choice for long runs.
Upper from Asics DynaFlyte is pretty simple with almost no reinforcements over breathable mesh but typical one to protect toe cap and classical Asics logo on the side for better consistency. Following latest casual trends the DynaFlyte is available in bright color combinations (although not as much as the flashy Gel Noosa Tri 11) moving away from old boring cushioned shoes.
Major innovation in Asics DynaFlyte is the one-piece FlyteFoam™ midsole (lighter, more responsive and all expected marketing buzzwords) with reinforced fibers which hides the classical GEL® unit in the rearfoot for improved shock absorption. Outsole includes typical vertical flex groove (Guidance Line®) for smoother ride and offers different rubber depending on the are with AHAR+ in more exposed ones for increased durability.
