Description

When one of the main characteristics of the Brooks Ghost 14 is the announcement of how sustainable and committed to the environment is its manufacturing process, apart from what each one wants to think about the reality that there is behind these types of advertisements, what is clear is that there is no significant novelty in terms of the technologies that the shoe itself incorporates. The most remarkable thing is that the midsole is now made entirely of DNA LOFT compound and that editions with a Gore-Tex® (GTX) waterproof membrane are still available for those who enjoy running in more demanding weather conditions.

It is always welcome that more and more recycled materials are used and Brooks advertises 30% of them in the upper cut, something that is certainly an advance over the Ghost 13. The American brand puts comfort above other features and the redesign in the configuration of the heat-sealed elements seeks a better fit while maintaining a fairly clean and modern-looking cut. Perhaps it is striking that the soft tongue is not sewn to both sides, a fairly widespread practice that prevents uncomfortable folds from forming after long periods of running.

As mentioned above, the midsole of the Ghost 14 is now completely made of DNA LOFT (no BioMoGo DNA ) foam and the American brand announces that it has slightly changed the configuration so that the feel is not excessively soft and maintains a smooth transition. The sole is practically the same, maintaining the configuration of the main grooves and with minimal changes in terms of studding. Let's go for a run.
