Description

There is no doubt that the Saucony Triumph 19 is a fairly continuous model compared to what is seen in the running scene, even Saucony itself with the Endorphin Speed 2. Nor is it surprising that the brand prefers to avoid too many changes in one of its reference shoes, so for now it is limited to small improvements that allow it to launch a "new" model every year with the consequent price increase. Needless to remember that this launch lowers the price of its predecessor.

As mentioned above, the changes compared to the previous edition Triumph 18 are minimal but clearly noticeable: an upper that's not only lighter but also more breathable. This translates into better sensations when putting them on because they are less heavy and less heat accumulates, which helps to reinforce the idea of a premium shoe. One aspect that has been quite controversial has to do with the laces, since depending on the market where the Triumph 19 are sold, they come in two different types (some thicker and others more elastic) in different colors. It's not clear if this is marketing genius or some other unnecessary bullshit for those looking to buy a running shoe.

The rest of the Triumph 19 stays pretty much the same with an imposing PWRRUN+β„’ midsole that to a large extent will prevent the runner from having any kind of sensation of the ground that he steps on, clearly what the typical buyer of this shoe is looking for. Nor does the outsole change, which continues to rely on the robust XT-900 rubber that covers practically the entire available surface. There will be no news, but at least no unpleasant surprises either. Let's go for a run.
